Les Marronniers was built around 1812, but had not been touched for 40 years or more, when it was divided into four flats and odd rooms for the field staff. We had to do a total revamp, starting with the wiring, adding en suite bathrooms to the now five bedrooms. All the design, decorating, including the kitchen and wall panelling were carried out by ourselves.
The first time we entered the house, we felt the serenity of Les Marronniers, and endeavoured to keep that lovely warm feeling, while making sure everything was up to date and comfortable in both summer and winter. We feel we have succeeded.    |
