Three Stars rating from The Fleurs de Soleil, Association des Maisons d'Amis en France. Les Marronniers has been our home since 1989, and after ten years of restoring it, we decided to open it up to a small number of paying guests. We thought about it a lot and were wondering how we would feel with strangers in our home. Then we realized that Les Marronniers has always been full of visitors. The difference was that they were family and friends. So we decided to think of our guests as friends coming to spend time with us.
This has worked very well, both for us and for our guests. More importantly, many of our guests have become our friends. The real sign of happy visitors is that they come back - and they do! |
